About Metal Spinning
Metal spinning is a machining process that is done using lathes. The machines may be computer controlled to ensure that the exact same pieces are created each time. The metal spinning process starts by using metal discs. Typically the metal used includes steel, aluminum, nickel, stainless steel or metal alloys. The discs are spun at a high speed so that they create the shape that is needed. The parts are made using specific measurements and guidelines that are often computer generated. The process is quick, efficient and money saving. Also, this method produce few scraps so there is less waste. Once shaped the created products can then move down the production line to other areas where they can be finished, packed and shipped.
